Here are a couple of tips that everyone should know in order to have healthy & beautiful hair.

WOODEN BRUSHES:

I would recommend everyone to throw out their current hair brush if it’s plastic, metallic, or artificial and to switch over to a wooden brush instead. I don’t think wooden brushes get as much credit for their many benefits for healthy hair. Just a few of the wooden brushes benefits for healthy hair:

  • Stimulate acupressure points on the scalp
  • Increase blood circulation which helps grow hair faster
  • Distributes the natural oils within our hair for overall health
  • As a bonus prevents static (a must during winter)
  • Is hypoallergenic to prevent hair flyaways helping to ensure shine and hydrated hair
  • Works gently and doesn’t irritate the scalp or pull on hair

I personally use TEKBrushes because of their delicately handmade wooden brushes from Italy made purely of wood. Other brushes tend to tear hair strands easily from hair which can cause a lot of hair fall and thinning whereas TEKbrushes are structured in a way to perform gently without pulling hair or irritating the scalp.

Also, don’t be fooled by those artificial wooden brushes looking like it’s made of wood when it’s actually fake so make sure you are using a brush that is made with pure wood.

NATURAL OILS:

I have recently been using the AgaveOil and it has given me frizz-free & hydrated hair which I need especially after taking a shower. Since I let my hair air dry, it becomes more frizzy and tangled, but by using the Agave Healing Oil, it has gotten rid of my tangles which is great for preventing hair fall, and has helped tame the frizz which is a must for my hair especially during the winter times where I experience the most frizz!

This oil is also great for people who have previously colored their hair or use heat often since it contains healing properties to restore your hair’s natural health. And you all already know how much I love natural and organic hair care products which is what this oil is, especially since it’s cruelty-free!

I would recommend you to incorporate some type of healing oil into your haircare routine to help prevent damage, tame frizz, restore hair health, and to help hydrate your beautiful locks!

WEEKLY HAIR MASKS:

Try a DIY hair mask once a week to help grow hair faster while giving healthy nutrients to your scalp. A healthy scalp always leads to faster hair growth, and if you don’t want long hair, it’ll still give you a healthier look!

My favorite QUICK & EASY natural diy hair masks are found through these previous blog posts: How To Grow Hair In One Day (Naturally) 2017 and Best Hair Mask For Hair Growth!

The best hair masks are found right in your kitchen! You don’t need to go out of your way to buy a hair mask when you could just whip up your own mask! If you have any 2 of these ingredients: coconut oil, eggs, mayonnaise, honey, and olive oil, you can make up to 5 different masks! Crazy right?!

HEATLESS HAIRSTYLES:

Exactly one year and a half ago, I took the courageous step of completely quitting the heat including the iron & blow dryer.

This meant that my hair would look absolutely horrible for the next couple of months since I was so dependent on styling my hair with heat, and I knew that, which made things especially harder. I mostly put my hair in braids to help conceal the split ends, frizzy, dry & damaged look that my hair had obtained. However, putting away the heat was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my hair because it’s never looked so shiny and healthy on it’s own!

Heatless hairstyle ideas (Aka, the only hairstyles I can create):

  • Simple side braid
  • Loose bun
  • Dutch braid
  • Fishtail braid

I hope these hair care tips encouraged you to incorporate some of these natural essentials in obtaining healthy & beautiful locks!
